Teambuilding with Pool Rafting

The Undergraduate students in Singapore went for a pool rafting activity organised by the Global Learning Team. It was quite an excitement, as everyone was very curious to see what the afternoon had in store for them. Before the students went on for Pool Rafting, they has a small activity organised at the venue. This activity was a ball game called “captain’s ball”, where they were divided into teams of 5, and the goal was to pass the ball to the ‘captain’, without the other team being able to get the ball. After a few exciting matches, they were finally taken down to the pool where the second and most awaited activity was to happen.

Channel NewsAsia Invites Jags' Comments at World Review

Students from the S P Jain Undergraduate batch in Singapore were invited to participate on a panel by the Channel NewsAsia to discuss the most important global issues that happened in 2015. The event was held at the National Gallery and was called World Review 2015.

Dancin' the Night Away in Dubai

To celebrate the last day of lectures and the end of presentations, the BBA Batch of 2014 was invited to the S P Jain Annual Winter Ball. This year the ball was held at the Ramada Hotel in Bur Dubai. Theme for this year’s ball was ‘Casino Royale’ which meant the room was filled with gorgeous Bond girls and very dapper Mr. Bonds.

Singapore Jags Hit a Bulls Eye in Archery

As soon as students reached the venue, one could feel the energy buzzing through the air. BBA students made their way to Home Team NS to learn Archery. The facilitators greeted everyone with passionate introductions and instructions, as students quickly got into lines of five to try their hand at shooting. They had big bows, and arrows with sponges for safety purposes. After a small practice round, everyone got accustomed to the game and found that it was actually pretty simple to shoot.

Sustainability Up Close and Personal

The BBA students were very excited to visit the eco-friendly and sustainable city called Masdar city. This was especially because they had learnt about it earlier in 'Corporate and Sustainable Social Responsibility' (SCSR) in semester Two in Singapore and were really fascinated by it. This industrial visit was aimed at sharpening the SCSR aspect of an organization amongst the students.

The Rocks Aboriginal heritage tour

Part of being an informed Global citizen is fostering cultural understanding. Most countries seem to have a deep and complex relationship with their indigenous people and Australia is no exception. When it comes to national identity we all stand proudly behind the ancient, unique and mysterious Aboriginal culture and iconography. However when there are difficult social issues in indigenous communities it is easy to forget this magnificent inheritance to Australia and the whole of the world.

BBA-14 Students visit Desert Safari

It was a bright sunny afternoon, when the students set out to experience what the desert has to offer. Each student just as excited as the other, they reached the desert, to find a line of SUVs waiting for them to get on board. By 5 pm, one by one the cars zoomed off into the desert with a group of seven students each. After a thrilling ride they reached the desert base camp, only to find the breathtaking view of the sun setting behind the magnificent stretch of the desert. Students took pictures with the falcon, rode the camel, got personalised souvenirs, and had henna tattoos done on their hands among other fun activities.

5-a-side Football Tournament!

The Futsal Field came alive on Saturday 3rd October 2015! The 5-A-Side Football Tournament brought out seven talented teams from our BBA15 & GMBA Batch vying for victory. Team Bravura, The Epic Team, INRI FC, Man Titty United, MBA 1, runner-ups Viet Nam and of course our event champions, Friends FC (Juan Sebastian Garcia, Robin Deane, Arvind Mahesh, Aban Kalandoor, Bhavya Sethi and Pol Arnella) were the participating teams.
