Dean’s Lister and President’s Award finalist Anushka Khemka’s inspiring SP Jain journey

When Anushka Khemka (BBA - Class of 2020) arrived in Singapore for her freshman year at SP Jain, she considered herself a “shy individual preferring backstage duties”. Four years later, does she still see herself like that? “Not at all! I have changed immensely as a person. I can confidently say that I have overcome that fear. I have grown to become a much more outspoken, confident and optimistic individual.”

Pursuing his Childhood Dreams & Ambitions - The Story of Manas Sarda (BBA Class of 2020)

Having learnt the basics of accountancy right in his Grade 7, Manas Sarda (BBA Class of 2020) always knew that he had a calling for business. “My father started our family business from scratch when I was a kid,” Manas shares. “I have seen him spend sleepless nights trying to grow the business and I’ve seen him fail. But the best thing I liked about dad was how he never gave up. He treated each morning as a fresh start, and that is what inspired me to follow his footsteps.”

Sweetening Up E-Commerce - Saveri Philkana’s Summer Internship at Mondelez

The past 8 weeks I spent at the Mondelez Head Office in Mumbai have been a truly flavour-packed experience. During this time, I got an opportunity to work on a lot of diverse projects with a small and dynamic team. Getting published is a life goal of many people, and a major triumph in any career. Many professors work for years before getting an article published. Imagine the euphoria, then, when a team of first-year Jaguars, most of them just 18 years old, saw their regional   immersion project results published in the prestigious FinTech Singapore, an online newsletter devoted to the financial technology industry.

Rohan's Rockin' Summer as an Intern

With my first year at S.P Jain, I saw myself grow and step out of my comfort zone. The highlight of the academic year being the regional immersion project, helped me build my networking and communication skills. Thereafter, I was keen on applying all my learnings in the practical environment which is when my quest for an internship began. I applied for over 50 positions and finally achieved a position as a Marketing Intern at DSM, Singapore during the summer of 2017.

To help students get exposure to the nuances of the corporate world, as part of their Sustainability & Corporate Social Responsibility (SCSR) subject, BBA Mumbai Jags witnessed three impressive guest sessions at the SP Jain Global campus. Jags Dominate CFA Challenge

The CFA Institute is the world's most respected credentialing group for Chartered Financial Analysts®. So when a team of S P Jain masters students won first place at the CFA Institute Research Challenge contest for universities throughout Dubai, it was a huge honor. But equally remarkable was the fact that a team of second-year undergraduate Jaguars took second place -- beating out teams who were much more senior, and had much greater experience in the world of finance.
