Today, let's meet our BBA graduate Nicolaas Kimman (Founder & General Manager of Ragam Foundation), a problem-solver dedicated to making a better world.

Ragam (meaning diversity) Foundation, a non-profit organisation, aims to tackle the variety of issues that Bali, Indonesia, is facing. It implements several key initiatives and programs that interconnect in order to have a sustainable and significant impact. Nicolaas and his team ensure that thousands of 'bungkus' nutritious homemade meals reach Bali's most vulnerable communities every week and provide income opportunities, access to clean water and much more.

As per the City Momentum Index (CMI), Dubai is one of the fastest growing cities in the world. However, this rapid growth brings along its own set of challenges. Even though urban growth has stimulated Dubai’s economy, the situation has also caused various environmental problems such as insufficient water availability, waste disposal problems and high energy consumption.

SP Jain School of Global Management’s second year undergraduate business students visited the Al Rawabi Dairy Company in Dubai on 18^th September 2018 as part of the global learning exposure linked to the Operations Management course. We not only got the opportunity to understand Al Rawabi’s innovative operations processes, but we also learnt about the interesting origin of their wide range of products including milk, yoghurt, laban and juice.

SP Jain School of Global Management’s BBA cohort of September 2017 visited the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees’ (UNHCR) office in Dubai on 25^th September 2018. As business students learning about Operations Management, we got the opportunity to understand how the UNHCR operates efficiently with its limited resources to provide aid and relief to those around the world.
